Rob Scott recently joined Hewlett-Packard’s ProCurve Networking business unit as VP Worldwide Sales & Marketing.
Scott, who brings 30 years’ leadership experience to his new role, drives all worldwide sales and marketing activities for ProCurve, including category marketing, strategic alliances, marketing communications, education, sales operations, enterprise sales strategy and regional sales & marketing.
He came to HP through its acquisition of Colubris Networks in late 2008. As president and CEO of Colubris Networks, Scott helped the company ascend to a prominent position in the WLAN industry.
Over the years, he has steered the helm at several technology companies as President and CEO, including:

Xelor Software, an IP telephony company.

IPeria, a provider of network-based voice messaging applications.
In addition to the Colubris Networks sale to HP, as President of ONET Networks and MultiLink and as CEO and Founder of Octave Communications, Scott managed the sale of these companies to Siemens, PictureTel and Voyant Technologies, respectively.
He has also held senior executive positions at large companies, such as CrossComm, Harris Adacom and Motorola/Codex.
In 2002, Scott was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for the telecom sector and the New Hampshire High Tech Council's Entrepreneur of the Year.
He is a member of the Entrepreneur of the Year Alumni Institute Advisory Council for Ernst & Young and has been a New England Judge for the past six years.
In 2007, he was appointed as the Chairman of the National Judges in the Technology sector.
